The hard and the priceless

This was a rough week in which I arrived home in tears having caught a ride with a friend because my car is in the shop three hours away. I am thankful to God that all the stress and upended plans did not derail the big picture as Anne and I spent a few days with my grandmother in Kentucky. There may have been twists and turns I was not counting on, but there were also moments where my grandmother's giggle had the joy of a little girl. Those moments of respite from her agitated mind were brought forth by Anne's presence and persistence in learning the piano. It was the sweetness that held the week together. It was a hard trip, but also a priceless trip. 

Oh how often the two are intertwined.
