A Bear Hunt

Yesterday we went on a bear hunt!  Thoughtful neighbors put teddy bears in their windows for kids to find, which transformed our family walk into an "adventure." (Anne's word)  Four is the perfect age for such a thing!  One neighbor had every yard decoration he owns on display including Santa and the reindeer with Christmas music, a Halloween dragon, and two giant leprechauns sitting on pots of gold.  Such simple gestures that made a difference in our world.  These gorgeous spring days make me think of the C.S. Lewis quote that beauty in the world is "news from a country we have never yet visited." May you hear the whispers of heaven in the sunshine outside or the chirping of the birds today.
