With much thankfulness to my Dad, we spent a couple of nights at his lake house with our friends, the Gibbins. The trip didn't go as Lauren and I had planned because it rained every day. The kids loved the movies, popcorn, and game time just as much as the water activities and the rainy days gave us more time to talk and pray about missions together. Between storms, we did float the river and play at the park, so really, we had the best of both worlds.
These daddies enjoy their children! Troy said, "We didn't come on vacation to get away from our kids, but to be with them." They took the big kids to play frisbee golf and to float through the tube chutes an extra time.
Emily's favorite part of the trip was playing Yahtzee with Reef.....which they did every spare moment they could find.
Titus shared a room with Reef and Jonas, so this was his first sleepover. After watching Emily and Ali have sleepovers, I was happy it was finally his turn!
Troy brought his uber-fancy coffee to brighten up the mornings. Plus, we ate breakfast at Naeglin's bakery every day!
We played on the playground, fed the ducks, and rode the train at Landa Park. The grande finale of the trip were two packages of sparklers. Kids are so easy to please!
