Titus observed about his little brother today, “He speaks French, but he laughs English.”
Who could ask for more? On our morning walk, we wheeled him in his stroller right into our house without a whimper. I took him back and fed him his lunch at the orphanage. At nap time we brought him back to our house, I lifted him from the stroller….without a whimper. He cried when I tried to put him in the crib, so I picked him back up….AND HELD HIM THE WHOLE AFTERNOON! He didn’t want me to put him down (which made diaper changing a struggle). In the evening, we took him back to the orphanage where I fed him his dinner, bathed him, and put him in bed….all without a whimper! From where we started, it would be unbelievable to have come so far so fast, but with God all things are possible.
Next goals are to keep gaining ground with him feeling safe with us, change his diaper without getting upset and put him down for a nap successfully.

Wow Sara, I am crying, what a answer to prayer. This post was so shore but it took me forever, reading it to Michael and choking back the tears. Praise God, this is huge!!! God is awesome, prayers still overflowing for you guys. Love little Titus's perception, so cute!!!

Hello!
My oldest daughter graduated with your sister, Carla, and my 18 year old was in her class this last year. We saw Carla last weekend and she told us about your incredible journey!
We also adopted our 5 year old daughter from China, two years ago, and now are in the process of adopting our foster baby. I love, love, love to hear/read about other families who also trust the Lord when He calls them to adopt! Your Matheny is absolutely precious!!
Praying for you!!
Blessings,
Jenn
