Do you ever have one of those to-do lists that explodes off the calendar? Me, too!
travel prep.: paperwork, packing lists, doctor's appointments, vaccinations, trip arrangements, French tutoring
adoption: attachment reading, special needs reading and exercises
homeschool: completing two weeks of school in July to lighten the load while we travel, make lesson plans to Christmas
addition of a new child: shampoo carpets, fill the freezer, new bed, new car seat
last weeks as a family of four: camping trip, going on dates, enjoying family time
And in the midst of it, God isn't giving the strength to get it done, He's pressing on my heart to see beyond it.
"Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ-that's where the action is." (Colossians 3)
Have you ever thought about this......
"What do the elders see that makes them fall down?
What do the angels see that makes them cry holy?
'Cause we have to know
Open our eyes to see the wonder of your majesty
To join the song that all of heaven sings."
I surely hadn't before I heard this song, but it's becoming more and more fun as He turns my gaze to what is going on around Christ and my focus on Home in the midst of all these preparations. Bring on the exploding calendar and let you and me fall more in love with Him through it all! Let's join the song that all of heaven sings.
"After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting, “Praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God." (Revelation 19)
