Henrietta Gallina (the black one - Emily's) and Bauk Bauk Tyuk (the red one - Titus's). (Their middle names are "hen" in Spanish and Hungarian.)Yes, we named the chickens....they are pets, not dinner.
The only pets we've had were Freddie and Sylvia (our beloved fish who lived a year and a half until they met a tragic end) and the duck we babysat for a month when we lived in an apartment in college. It was my idea that we wouldn't get any pets until the kids were old enough to take care of them, but that didn't stick.
Much to our surprise, Henrietta left a gift on her first day. And thankfully the eight dogs next door have FINALLY stopped announcing their new neighbors to the whole neighborhood!

I LOVE the names!
When I had fish last year, they were named Annie Lenox and Paul Anka...along with the sucker fish who was named Maximus Decimus Aurilius.
We loved our fish. Hopefully your kids will keep loving their chickens!
BAWK BAWK, fresh eggs rock.
Gonna let any hatch??
How cool! Every now and then, John will talk about getting chickens. But I'm pretty sure I love the idea of having fresh eggs more than I love the idea of having chickens :-)
